Cefalú er plassert under en fjellkaus kalt La Rocca. Det er mulig å gå opp dit. Det er en forholdvis liten by med en sjarmerende gamleby. Prisnivået er atskillig lavere enn i Taormina. Om kveldene er det fint å spasere langs strandpromenaden til gamlebyen, sette seg på Piazza Duomo og ta et glass hvitvin på Bar Duomo før man finner et spisested. Det er nok av dem.
Man bør absolutt besøke doumoen og spesielt ta en titt på mosaikkene.
Kirken ble påbegynt i 1131. Studer tårnene fra utsiden. De er ikke like.
Cefalú is situated under a crag.It is possible to walk up there. Cefalú is a charming town with an old town. In the evenings it is nice to walk along the beach to the old town. Here you can find a table at Bar Duomo on Piazza Duomo, have a glass of white vine before you find a suitable restaurant. There are a lot of them. The prices here are lower than in Taormina.
Visit the Duomo and look at the mosaics. They started to build the church in 1131. If you study the Duomo from the piazza you will notice that the towers are different.
Vi bodde på hotell Astro som ikke var et godt valg selv om personalet var hyggelig.Det var mye trafikkstøy og rommene våre var helt uten utsikt, nærmest inne i en slags veranda. det finnes bedre hotell der.
We stayed at hotel Astro which was not a good choice due to traffice noise and in addition no bacony and absolutely no view. It did not help that the staff was helpful and friedly.So if you go there make a better choise.
